Joost TV Now Commercially Available!

Folks over at PC World are reporting that Joost, the internet television service started by Skype founders Janus Friis and Niklas Zennström, has been commercially launched.

Joost users are apparently receiving 999 invites to give out to their friends. This can be confirmed by Joost users, who are giving out Joost invites on their blogs.

Over 150 channels are currently available, while more than 30 global advertisers – including The Coca-Cola Company, HP, Intel and Nike – have signed up to help fund the project.

Now the bad news- advertisements will start broadcasting later this month! But, one can’t possibly complain when one gets HD quality TV channels for free. I guess we’ll bear those irritating commercials for quality TV viewing experience.
